At eighteen years old Janine Guido was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and severe clinical depression. After an unsuccessful suicide attempt, one doctor said he didn’t know what else to do and all but gave up on her.

So, she started rescuing animals to give her the motivation to keep going. These animals have more or less saved her life so she’s paying it forward and now saving theirs.

This is Janine’s story.
